Energy Star® Window

The ENERGY STAR® label for residential windows simplifies your purchasing decisions. You can be confident that ENERGY STAR®-labeled windows exceed the minimum energy efficiency criteria for the climate region in which you live – sometimes by as much as 40 percent! This means that ENERGY STAR® window products will reduce your home energy costs compared to other products.

Energy efficient windows will also increase comfort, cut down noise levels from outside the home, have less condensation in cold weather than standard products, and allow fewer ultraviolet rays to pass through glazed areas, protecting from sun damage. Last but certainly not least, by reducing your home’s energy consumption, ENERGY STAR qualified windows also reduce greenhouse gas emissions that are contributing to climate change.

Double Hung

Constructed of uPVC specially compounded for North America to be exceptionally strong, durable and highly energy efficient. Unique multi-chambered profile provides superior resistance to temperature extremes.

Our standard window frames never need painting and are virtually maintenance free. For easy cleaning, these windows feature two tilt-in sashes.

We also offer a commercial coated product so that you can have one color outside, another inside.

Casement

Casement replacement windows are our most energy-efficient, ventilating window style. To enjoy a breeze, simply crank your casement windows outward and direct the fresh air in. Casement replacement windows are a great choice for above cabinets or counters where opening requires a reach. Adding to their convenience, our casement windows are designed to allow for easy cleaning from inside your home.

Bay

A bay window is a window space projecting outward from the main walls of a building and forming a bay in a room, either square or polygonal in plan. The angles most commonly used on the inside corners of the bay are 90, 135 and 150 degrees. Bay windows are often associated with Victorian architecture. They first achieved widespread popularity in the 1870s.

The windows are commonly used to provide the illusion of a larger room. They are used to increase the flow of natural light into a building as well as provide views of the outside that would be unavailable with an ordinary window. It is perhaps for these reasons that bay windows have become an architectural staple in San Francisco, a city of limited space.

Slider

Create a light filled space in your home using slider windows. Let the sunshine in. By eliminating horizontal obstructions, sliders open up a panoramic viewing area in any room. The clean lines give this affordable and functional window a contemporary feel.

Two or three-lite sliding windows can evoke a sleek contemporary feel and can be fashioned in many different size and style configurations. Sliding windows are easy to operate and provide a wide-open expansive view with no horizontal obstructions. Integral handles make sliding a breeze, and sashes slide effortlessly on a deluxe brass roller system. For maintenance and ease, sashes lift-in so they can be removed from inside your home for safe and easy cleaning.

Awning

The Awning windows feature hollow sections for added strength and security. Rounded stiles and rails add to the appeal. Awning windows can accommodate a chain winder. With a double sealing system, they are very effective at reducing noise transmission and energy loss

Awning windows provide functionality yet must blend in flawlessly as a component of the overall home architecture. Awning windows open out from the bottom, allowing air to circulate freely into the home. When opened, the window acts as an awning to keep rain out. They can be matched effectively with picture windows. Custom Window Designs also incorporates unique design and engineering characteristics necessary to keep awning windows functioning flawlessly.

Double glazing or Double glass System

Double glazing or double glass used to prevent energy loss. A House is made up of various materials. These materials have their own purpose to serve according to their properties. To make your house more efficient the sources of energy transfer should be controlled.

The main transfer source is windows, should be checked for efficiency. Windows profile (Kommerling profile, profine profile & smart aluminium system) and panels are energy efficient. The highest area in a window is covered by glass so it is of utmost importance that the glass does not transfer much of energy. So to solve this purpose double glazing units are used.

Double glazing units are made up of two glass sheets. In between this double glass sheets there is gas filled in it, commonly argon gas is filled in it. This unit is made up of two 4mm glass sheets separated by a gap of 16mm or 20mm.

To higher the gap the less the conductivity of thermal energy, this gap is filled with inert or noble gases such as Argon, Krypton and Xenon. Commercially Argon is filled in the gap to separate two glazing sheets which acts as a non conducting medium for thermal energy.

These glass units are then sealed from the periphery so as to make the unit air tight. These double glazed units are then installed in windows to make them more efficient and installed as either externally or internally beaded in window and doors.

Maintaining the room temperature and conserving energy via double glass or double glazing unit.

Single glazing or Single glass System

Glass: Pilkington K Glass

The glass we used is called Pilkington K Glass. These glasses when used in windows can act as energy exchanger and can reduce the efficiency. To increase the efficiency of the room, the energy exchange should be measured either from window frames or glasses.

Pilkington K glass has a special coating on the inner glass surfaces facing the air gap which reduce the energy emission to the outer glass.

A thin coating helps to reflect back the energy and maintains the internal temperature towards the colder outer atmosphere. This coating helps to reflect back the energy and also allows heat from sunlight to enter the house so keeping the residence warm. Thin coating on the inner glass sheet makes it at room temperature and provides larger usable space.

Pilkington K glass helps to maintain the internal room temperature with or without heating making it greener by energy saving so with Pilkington K glass you can achieve higher efficiency.

In colder atmosphere the window region is the coldest part of the house but with Pilkington K glass it is not the case. It can also be used in conservatories as it maintains the heat from sunlight and make the inner atmosphere pleasant.

Pilkington K glass can also be laminated or toughened to increase its strength and durability. Due to its energy efficiency it becomes the first choice for architects and also raises the energy ratings and saves on energy bills.
